ISO/TC215 formed the Genomics Informatics Sub-Committee (SC) to address the growing need of data sharing within an organization and between organizations as well as integrating genomics data from many different sources and build on >genomics standards already under development.

JIC members including HL7 International, IHE International, ISO TC 215, LOINC and SNOMED International are contributing to this collaborative effort.

The standards facilitate data sharing and integrating which provide key resources for researchers and clinicians alike.
